RMA Revolution: AI, Easier Forecasts, A New Name, and More!

The latest updates and what’s coming in the new RMA

Hello, RMA users! You’ve heard by now that the RMA is getting a major upgrade in late 2024. We know you’re excited (we are too!) and we wanted to share the latest developments.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the new RMA is that we’ll incorporate artificial intelligence into the tool to bring you automated, dynamic pricing recommendations and predictive sales forecasts. We’ll share more about these tools soon—the AI models need to be trained before we make them live, so you’ll see them in the new RMA in early 2025.

Today, we wanted to share some updates about what’s new in the RMA update that’s coming in 2024. We’ve already shared that the new RMA will have a new web-based interface. Additionally, the new RMA will include:

    • Easy-to-build forecasts (time saving!): If you use the current Forecasting Module in the RMA, you may be aware that it’s extremely useful but requires a fair amount of set-up time. In the new RMA, you’ll be able to select comparators, click a button, and voila! Your forecast is ready. No more manual work to create different forecasts for different days of the week or performance type.
    • New revenue goal setting & progress tracking: In the current RMA, goal tracking is limited to the single income number entered on a performance level in Tessitura. In the new RMA, you’ll be able to start from the goals set in Tessitura, but also have the option to enter goals at a Production or Performance level directly into the RMA for tickets and income, split by single and subscription tickets. The RMA will then track progress toward the goals you’ve set AND progress toward the forecast that the RMA develops based on comparators.
    • Easy loading of your Tessitura data: After a few quick installation steps in your Tessitura database, the new RMA will use proven big-data technologies to load your data directly into our secure data lake using Tessitura’s API, bypassing the Tessitura Analytics infrastructure entirely. This means a more streamlined process, fewer disruptions, and more efficient support.

We’ll keep you updated about the upgrade process as we get closer to the release date. But know that the upgrade will be simple, and your Reports, Custom Groupings, and Saved Filters from the Current RMA will be safe! All of your saved items will transition over to the new RMA. We will also offer complimentary training on new functionality within the RMA to your team.

Did you know the RMA is also getting a new name??

We are excited to reveal the new name in July. Any guesses? Here are a couple hints:

  • It’s not a TLA (three-letter acronym)
  • There’s a slight reference in the name to the King Arthur myth

We’ll give a couple more hints later this month 😊

If you have any questions about the changes in the RMA, don’t hesitate to reach out!
